SPOTLIGHT ON LILLY:

Lilly’s elegant, soft exterior does not reflect her recent
hard life. Her hardships began when her owner was diagnosed with
cancer. Lilly was left alone for a long time while her owner was
in treatment. Then, her owner tragically died, leaving Lilly homeless.
When Lilly came to Capitol ARK, she was so lonely and traumatized
that she spent weeks crying and following volunteers around. She
couldn’t get enough comfort or attention. Despite her hardships,
this gorgeous girl is still silly and super-sweet! She is super-sweet
when she meows to greet you at the door, and Lilly would love to
sit in your lap purring for hours. She is silly because she might
give you a gentle nip on the hand when you stop petting her, like
she is saying "I wasn't done getting lovin.’" Lilly
is a mature adult cat, and she is looking for a new forever home.
She is OK with other cats, but she has a dominant personality and
would, therefore, do better as an only cat. Also, due to her occasional
nipping, she would do best in a home without small children. Dogs
unknown.
Lilly is spayed, housetrained and up to date with her routine shots.
