| SHAKESPEARE
September 13, 2009 - October 2, 2011
Shakespeare came to ECAH after his owner died and he needed
to find a new forever home. In the brief time with ECAH, Shakespeare
lived with a foster mom who had known his owner and had been
his pet sitter as well. Shakespeare was not only a very handsome
cat, he was also gentle and curious. He will be fondly remembered
for his love of long walks through the woods where he could
be spied chasing butterflies. He also loved to chase toy mice.
But, the one thing he loved the most was affection. He was
a sweet cat and had been dearly loved by his owner. Shakespeare
died approximately three weeks after his owner passed. Though
he died due to a blood parasite, it is believed he was ready
to meet his owner in their new forever home. He lived his
life with grace and courage and will forever be in our hearts.
"Give me my robe, put on my crown; I have Immortal longings
in me."
Antony and Cleopatra (V, ii, 282-283)
