SPOTLIGHT ON BUDDY:

Hi, my name is BUDDY. I'm part Chow and weigh around 35 pounds.
I was born in March 2007. My sister Keah and I arrived at the sanctuary
last year as little babies - someone found us in the woods. We both
got adopted around the same time. Fortunately for her, her adoption
worked out. I lived with a family for about six months. I really
loved them and their other dog, but things just got to be a bit
much for them (there were four kids in the family), so the volunteers
welcomed me back into the program.
I've heard the volunteers say what a special dog I am - "precious"
is the word I've heard most often used to describe me. Most boys
don't want to be considered precious, but I have no problem with
it! I do like to cuddle and enjoy your company. I am told I am a
good watch dog because I keep a close eye on my home and am very
cautious about strangers.
I get along really well with other dogs (both small and large),
and cats won't be a problem either. I would prefer to be an inside
dog. In fact, I would be a very good apartment dog. Some playing
outside and moderate exercise would also be great. I don't mean
to brag, but I've been told that I look like some of the show dogs
that you see on TV. I think it's my tail (which looks like a feathery
pom-pom) and the tufts of hair between my toes. What can I say -
some of us are just genetically gifted! If you're looking for a
wonderful dog who will love you and do everything he can to please
you, why don't you consider me? I could be your best "buddy."
Buddy is housetrained, neutered, microchipped and up to date with
his shots.
